What's happening with NANDO'S in Frisco

FRISCO: SOUTH AFRICAN CHICKEN CHAIN NANDO'S JOINING FIELDS WEST DEVELOPMENT
A globally famous flame-grilled chicken restaurant is bringing its signature PERi-PERi flavor to Collin County.
State filings reveal plans for a $700,000 commercial project located at 5301 Fields Parkway (Suite A175) within the highly anticipated Fields West development in Frisco.
The project involves a 2,537-square-foot first-generation tenant improvement to build out a new location for Nando's. Founded in South Africa in 1987, Nando's is renowned worldwide for its spicy, Portuguese-style flame-grilled chicken. The brand has been steadily expanding its Texas footprint in recent years, with existing locations in Houston, Austin, and Katy. This new restaurant will join the expansive 55-acre Fields West urban village, which is being spearheaded by the developers behind Legacy West.
Construction on the new Nando's is scheduled to begin early next year on February 1, 2027, targeting a quick build-out with completion expected by June 9, 2027.
