SWEETWATER: LOVE'S TRAVEL STOP ADDING $600,000 EV CHARGING STATION
A popular highway travel stop is upgrading its infrastructure to accommodate electric vehicles in Nolan County.
State filings reveal plans for a $600,000 commercial alteration project located at the Love's Travel Stop #475 at 9418 North Interstate 20 in Sweetwater. The scope of work involves a 2,372-square-foot footprint to bring new electric vehicle infrastructure to the existing site. The project will add four single EV charging stations, one power cabinet, and a 2000-amp electrical switchgear to the travel stop.
Construction on the new charging stations is scheduled to begin in the spring on March 1, 2027, targeting a quick two-month turnaround with completion expected by April 26, 2027.
