What's happening with Layne's Chicken Fingers in San Antonio
San Antonio, Texas: LAYNE'S CHICKEN FINGERS PREPPING $1.45 MILLION NEW RESTAURANT AT LOOP 1604 AND MARBACH ROAD
A beloved Texas-born chicken tender chain is expanding its footprint in Bexar County!
State filings reveal plans for a $1,450,000 commercial construction project located at the intersection of Loop 1604 South and Marbach Road in San Antonio. The 2,430-square-foot project involves the complete ground-up construction of a brand new Layne's Chicken Fingers. Originating in College Station, the "Soon to be Famous" chicken finger brand is continuing its rapid Texas expansion with this proposed drive-thru and dine-in restaurant. Because the filing specifies that private funds are not being provided by the tenant, it indicates that a property developer or landlord is funding the actual construction of the building for Layne's to lease.
Construction on the new San Antonio Layne's is scheduled to begin late this fall on November 23, 2026, targeting a five-month build-out with completion expected by April 29, 2027.
