Cone N' Swirl, a popular local food truck known for bringing unique Hungarian chimney cones to San Antonio, is putting down permanent roots with its very first brick-and-mortar storefront!
State filings reveal plans for a $175,000 commercial construction project located at 9910 West Loop 1604 North, Suite 104, within the Braun Point shopping center. The 1,452-square-foot project involves the interior renovation of an existing retail space. Owners Gilbert and Kristina Torres launched the food truck in August 2024 to bring the novel Eastern European street food—fresh-baked, cylindrical chimney cakes that they pair with customizable blended ice cream, fillings, and "Stick 'Ems"—to Central Texas. The truck has frequently parked at the Braun Point lot on Friday nights leading up to this expansion.
Construction on the new permanent Cone N' Swirl shop is scheduled to begin this fall on November 2, 2026, targeting a quick three-month build-out with completion expected by February 8, 2027.
