Tesla is expanding its massive commercial vehicle charging network with a new Megacharger station coming to the Texas Coastal Bend!
State filings reveal plans for a $200,000 commercial construction project located at 4539 Highway 77, Suite A, in Robstown. The project involves the installation of new electrical infrastructure to support the Megacharger site. Unlike traditional Superchargers built for passenger vehicles, Tesla's Megachargers are specifically designed to deliver immense power to the Tesla Semi and other heavy-duty commercial electric vehicles, providing a crucial charging link for freight moving along the busy US-77 corridor connecting South Texas and the Rio Grande Valley.
This new heavy-duty commercial station will sit near an existing 16-stall Tesla Supercharger station located at the nearby Robstown Crossroads District.
Construction on the new Robstown Megacharger is scheduled to begin this winter on December 1, 2026, targeting a one-year timeline with completion expected by December 1, 2027.
