What's happening with LONG JOHN SILVER'S in Midland
LONG JOHN SILVER'S REBUILDING MIDLAND LOCATION:
A classic seafood chain is making a major investment to upgrade its footprint in Midland!
State filings reveal plans for a $1,300,000 commercial construction project located at 900 Andrews Hwy.
Because there is already an operating Long John Silver's at this exact address, the "New Construction" designation indicates this is a "scrape and rebuild" project.
From what we have seen in other parts of Texas construction crews will likely demolish the aging existing restaurant to build a brand-new, 2,454-square-foot facility from the ground up on the same lot. This will allow the location to fully upgrade to the brand's latest architectural standards and modern drive-thru routing.
Demolition and construction on the new ground-up restaurant are scheduled to begin early next year on January 11, 2027, targeting a four-month turnaround with completion expected by May 10, 2027.
