What's happening with Chipotle in Mesquite

Mesquite, Texas: CHIPOTLE PREPPING $70,000 STORE UPGRADE ON US-80 EAST
Chipotle is bringing aerial drone delivery to its Mesquite East location on US Highway 80.
State filings reveal plans for a $70,000 commercial renovation project located at 125 US-80 E (Suite 200) in Dallas County. The highly targeted 200-square-foot project involves an exterior and interior modification to the established Chipotle Mexican Grill. The scope of work includes the addition of a pass-thru window and a "zipline element" to support the rollout of Zipotle, the restaurant's new autonomous drone delivery partnership with Zipline. This infrastructure upgrade will allow employees to load digital orders directly into a Zipping Point, dispatching zero-emission drones to fly food directly to local customers.
Construction on the Chipotle upgrade is scheduled to begin later this year on December 1, 2026, targeting a two-month timeline with completion expected by February 1, 2027.
