Houston, Texas: CHURCH'S CHICKEN PREPPING $500,000 RETURN TO LOCKWOOD DRIVE WITH BRAND NEW BUILDING
Church's Texas Chicken is making a comeback to a familiar Houston neighborhood with a brand new, modern restaurant!
State filings reveal plans for a $500,000 commercial construction project located at 5725 Lockwood Drive in Harris County. The 1,423-square-foot project involves the complete ground-up construction of a new quick-serve restaurant building, complete with a dining room, kitchen, and drive-thru lane. Much like their upcoming Fry Road project in Katy, a Church's Chicken previously operated at this exact Houston address years ago. These new filings indicate the company is returning to reclaim its former site, building its latest modern prototype from scratch to serve the local community once again.
Construction on the new Lockwood Drive Church's Chicken is scheduled to begin early next year on January 20, 2027, targeting a six-month build-out with completion expected by July 20, 2027.
