AMAZON PREPPING $100 MILLION "PROJECT TOASTER" ROBOTICS FACILITY IN AUSTIN: A major tech giant is placing a huge bet on East Austin!
State filings reveal plans for an enormous $100 million commercial project located at 475 Patton Ave in Travis County.
Registered under the internal codename "Project Toaster," this development from Amazon represents the core and shell construction phase for a new advanced manufacturing facility. The sprawling 1.2 million-square-foot building will be divided into four distinct operational areas: office space, factory floor, casting, and a central utility plant.
Recent industry reports confirm this facility will serve as a high-tech robotics manufacturing hub, where Amazon will build and test the automated robotic systems deployed throughout its global logistics network.
Site development and core construction are scheduled to begin next month on November 16, 2026, targeting an eight-month turnaround with completion expected by July 13, 2027.
