A massively popular Southern-inspired breakfast and brunch destination is making its first move into West Texas!
State filings reveal plans for a $350,000 commercial construction project located at 2467 N Judge Ely Blvd in Abilene.
The project involves a 3,845-square-foot tenant fit-out for a brand-new Flying Biscuit Cafe. The scope of work will completely transform the commercial space into a full-service restaurant, bringing the brand's signature eclectic, neighborhood-focused dining experience to the community.
They have built a huge following for their award-winning creamy, dreamy white cheddar cheese grits, stuffed French toast, hearty scrambles, and of course, massive fluffy biscuits served with cranberry apple butter. Many locations also offer a full brunch-forward bar with mimosa flights and specialty Bloody Marys.
Construction on the new brunch spot is scheduled to begin late this year on December 1, 2026, targeting a three-month build-out with completion expected by March 1, 2027.
